United Nations University

The United Nations University (UNU) is the academic arm of the United Nations (UN). It bridges the academic world and the UN system. Its goal is to develop sustainable solutions for current and future problems of humankind in all aspects of life. Through a problem-oriented and interdisciplinary approach it aims at applied research and education on a global scale. UNU was founded in 1973 and is an autonomous organ of the UN General Assembly. The University comprises headquarters Tokyo, Japan, and more than a dozen Institutes and Programmes worldwide.

UNU-EHS moves to the UN Campus

As of 1st of July, UNU-EHS can be found in the new UN Campus at the "Langer Eugen", where the Institute occupies three floors, the 26th, 27th and 28th floors. UNU-EHS Academic Officers can be found on the 26th floor; Resident Scholars, the training room, the library as well as the archive are placed on the 27th floor; to contact the Director, the reception area and/or the administration and academic support please visit the 28th floor.

We kindly ask all visitors to notify us well in advance due to security issues. Please be also aware of new phone numbers, which can be viewed under the navigation topic "The Team" , but for the time being you can also reach us under the old phone numbers as they are forwarded to our new connections.
