BACKGROUND

Neysa Jacqueline Setiadi graduated as an Environmental Engineer from the Institut Teknologi Bandung (Indonesia) specialized in environmental health, particularly in assessing flood impacts on community water supply. Subsequently, she obtained her graduate degree (Master of Science) in Water Resources Engineering and Management at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, with the focus on assessing technical and economic indicators for performance of water supply in context of integrated water resources management. Prior to joining UNU, she conducted an internship at GTZ Water Program Philippines particularly on assessing the process of integrated water resources management at national, meso- and micro-level as well as assisting related capacity building activities.

WORKING AREA AT UNU-EHS

At UNU-EHS, Neysa is working as a Research Associate in the Vulnerability Assessment Section, where she is conducting research as well as supporting organizational tasks within the “Last-Mile – Evacuation” project. Her main focus of study is on local socio-economic vulnerability assessment in the context of tsunami early warning, evacuation planning and spatial planning in the city of Padang, Indonesia.
